Loops - Visualization #1
Here is a visual representation of how loop pieces work.
Essentially, a musical note or phrase is played for a specific duration, followed by a length of silence. This "loop" is layered with other notes/phrases of differing lengths or lengths of silence, so that the overall tonal palette at any given point is ever changing. The theoretical "end" of a loop piece occurs when all loops concurrently reach their initial starting point.
